Oh how the wheels are spinning now my friends.... Thicker-er, and thicker-er the plot, um.... well, THICKENS. Just a few pages left, some clean-up, a dash of coloring, and a pinch of lettering, and this comic will be sent to the press room. February vacation is looming ever closer, and the goal at hand is to finish as much as possible of this retro beauty by then.
I sure hope all you monsters from Maine to Malibu are keeping your little tootsies toasty during this cold snap we're having...Br-rrrrr! I myself have broken out the sun screen, beach towels, ect, and I'm heading off to the trusty time machine, ( my studio ) for a trip back to poolside circa summer of '76.
Boogie on bro-beasties~

Okay, this is what I do when I'm in need of a quick island getaway in mid-January...
Step One:I fill my wood furnace to the brim and let that get nice and hot.
Step Two: Run upstairs and fill the fireplace with lots of kindling (and perhaps the odd chair that, let's face it, is never going to make it to the dump.
Step Three: Get a beach chair from the garage and set it up in my living room.
Step Four: Sprinkle a bit of sand around on the floor (how much I leave entirely to your discretion, as it will eventually need to be vacuumed up)
Step Five: Change into bathing suit.
Step Six: Locate suntan oil/lotion, whathaveyou.
Step Seven: Apply lotion. Leave no exposed flesh uncovered.
If the fires have been laid correctly, the temperature should be rapidly approaching 80-ish degrees in the house.
Step Eight: Grab a magazine and an umbrella, turn on the summer tunes to a nearly intolerable level, and run the water in the sink and the shower.
Step Nine: Enjoy a nice evening/afternoon/day/night at the beach, all from the comfort of your own living room.
Flip-flops optional.
Sounds like a good idea to me :)
